Our Vision for PE

'At Leominster Primary school, we aim to provide every child with the skills and knowledge needed to ensure that they lead a healthy, active lifestyle. Our Physical Education curriculum engages and challenges pupils and provides exciting experiences. Our aim is to meet the needs of every child, providing equal opportunities for all.'

P.E. Uniform

For P.E. or active lessons children must be wearing appropriate clothing. Hair must be tied back and any stud earrings should be removed/ covered.

Reception and KS1 practise the skills of changing for their lessons and therefore need a P.E. kit in school at all times. Kits are sent home at the end of each half term to be washed and should be returned at the start of the new half term.

All clothing must be labelled with your child's name.

P.E. uniform is as follows:

  • Black shorts/ leggings or joggers
  • Purple top (with or without school logo)
  • Black jumper/ school jumper/ purple school hoodie (these can be purchased at Club Sport)
  • Black pumps/ trainers

If your child is doing a gymnastics unit of work, their teacher will let you know. For safety purposes, hoodies cannot be worn during the lesson itself. Shorts would be preffered as jogging bottoms may get in the way. Gymnastics lessons take place in the school hall.
