The Use of Pupil Premium Funding at
Leominster Primary School

The Pupil Premium is additional funding given directly to publicly funded schools in England to raise the attainment of disadvantaged pupils and close the gap between them and their peers. It is also designed to provide additional support for children of service families and for Looked After children.

Pupils are eligible for the Pupil Premium if they are registered for free school meals and the funding remains with them for six years from the first period of entitlement. (Ever 6 FSM)
At Leominster Primary School, the school’s Pupil Premium grant is £230,460 for 2017-2018.

Schools are able to use the money in order to plan provision for the eligible pupils in ways that the school views as being most likely to narrow any attainment gaps between them and their peers.
